Planning Comission
The function of the Plunketts Creek Township Planning Commission is to act as an advisor to the governing body, the Plunketts Creek Township Board of Supervisors on matters of community growth and development.
While providing the leadership for planning and land use decisions is the first priority of the Planning Commission, in practice most of the commission's time is devoted to administration of the subdivision and land development ordinance.
The Planning Commission holds meetings on the third Wednesday of each month (when there are subdivisions or sketch plans to review) in the Township Building, Barbours, PA at 7:00 PM.
When residents are deciding on a subdivision or land development the board would like to encourage residents to submit a simple sketch plan for review prior to hiring a Surveyor or Engineer. This allows the Planning Commission a chance to give advice on the requirements necessary to conform to subdivision standards and other provisions. This step could potentially save property owners a considerable amount of money!
Before the Planning Commission reviews a preliminary or final plan the Planning Commission requires completion of the following two (2) forms plus submission of both the forms and the plan in pdf format to office@plunkettscreektownship Subdivision and Land development Ordinance Subdivision and Land development Application Subdivision and Land development Proposal Review Checklist
